Design Lessons from Betty White’s Home (Today’s Homeowner)
Few people were as beloved as sitcom legend Betty White. Following her death, we saw plenty of media coverage center on her Carmel, Calif., home — and I realized todayshomeowner.com could point out some design lessons from this legendary abode. I wrote and edited this article, which sent tens of thousands of clicks to the website during the first week of publication.
Note: The embedded YouTube video (on the live article) covers White’s actual home. For legal and deadline reasons, we did not use photos of her home within the article’s body, opting instead to show inspirational photos of what the average home might look like after incorporating her ideas.
That’s actually the best strategy for efficiency and to relate to TH’s typical viewer, who wants to see “practical, realistic home improvement information,” the brand’s motto.
